Eric Rajapakse opticians in keeping their mission in sports promotion will be a co-sponsor to another mini tennis event, to be conducted by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) appointed by International Tennis Federation (ITF) for Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) Boshan Dayaratne who will direct the event.

The event will induce tennis as their future sport in which over one thousand five hundred boys and girls are expected to participate. It will be creating a millennium platform, where tennis vision is given as the first sport event.

The participants will be students within the age group of 8 to 10 years who will be playing in a carnival atmosphere where there will be music and other activities to make the event a memorable one.

Eric Rajapakse Opticians will have eye screening (eye testing) facilities available to all participants for two hours a day in the morning on all days of play.

The objective being a vision assessment must be made at this age as it is most important for the future of the game said Chief Optometrist Ms. Yusra Riyal.

They will also sponsor a lecture programme on sports medicine conducted by Dr. B. T. C. Perera (paediatrician) open to all parents of the participants.
