Information has been received to the effect that after the explosion of the bomb by a suicide bomber at an election rally in Muttur four other Tiger suicide bombers have infiltrated Trincomalee and Kantalai areas targeting candidates contesting the October 10 election, SSP, Trincomalee Gunasena Thenabadu said.

Search operations have now being launched to track down these four suicide bombers, SSP Thenabadu further said.

Following receipt of this information all politicians in the area have been warned to be extra vigilant when holding election rallies, police sources said.

Police intelligence has already revealed that 47 Black Tigers travelling from seas at Kalpitiya had infiltrated Colombo city and other areas of the country.

Following this information Police Headquarters has alerted all police stations in the country to strengthen security and to crack down these Black Tigers.
