Saliya is an unemployed youth while Sumudhu is a part time vocalist in a tourist hotel in Hikkaduwa. While their love affair was blooming economic hardships prevented them from getting married.

Meanwhile three rich businessmen Jerome (Sanath Gunatillaka) Indrasena (Rohini Fernando) and Jayatunga (Wilson Gunaratne) visit the tourist hotel where Sumudhu sings.

While spending their holiday they meet Sumudhu at the hotel, arranged by a businessman W. Jayasiri. The motive behind the businessman’s staying in the hotel was to make love to Sumudhu.

The story is full of love, emotions and humour. Sumana Amarasinghe, wife of Roy de Silva, was behind the screen directing and helping to make this film a success.

I am sure the film will reach box office success, says Roy de Silva who has been responsible for many box office successes.
