People’s Bank "Awards for Excellence" scholarships for most outstanding performers at the last G.C.E.(O/L) Examination will be presented at a ceremony to be held on Friday 1st December at the People’s Bank Auditorium.

The Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Information Technology Development. Prof. R. P. Gunawardena will be the Chief Guest.

The scholarship scheme introduced in 1993 offers fellowships for two years for best performers at national level and educational district level. Whilst national level winner receives Rs. 15,000/- per year, district level winner receives Rs. 12,000/- per year for educational expenditure.
