Surely by now the gut wrenching events in Palestine should have convinced our ‘by force’ peacemakers of the futility of trying to enforce peace on people without first addressing their fears and aspirations. I am told that reindeer hides are exceptionally thick which would explain why theses people keep sticking there long Nordic noses where they are so obviously not wanted.

Norway is acting as if we are a mulish and unintelligent mob who need to have some bogus agreement forced on us for our own good. It is obvious that left to ourselves, we could have sorted out our problems. It is the support of countries like Canada and Norway which have escalated the conflict and made it seem to the LTTE that terrorism was justified in their ‘fight for freedom’. Have you even considered the possibility that these are the first shots in the destabilisation of India to create a Tamil state for the Tamil nation?

Norway, the Berlin wall fell without you, Apartheid collapsed without you, the Irish and the Koreans are coming together without you. Don’t create another Palestine in this lovely land.

The people of this country don’t trust you, they don’t like you and they wonder what you are doing here. Don’t be so stupid as to think that the people who howl at your embassy gate are nut cases. They are the people of this country.
