As a resident of St Lawerence Road, Colombo 6, I wish to convey my gratitude to the Mayor of Colombo and the engineering officials of the Town Hall for taking steps within two days to resurface our road with Asphalt which makes our motoring very smooth.

In the recent past, we have seen a new development of road surfacing in the Colombo City, with the surface being smoothed. We now see vehicles speeding along such roads at very high speed.

I hope C.M.C. officials will take note of this and work along with the Traffic Police to discipline the drivers to adhere to speed levels, so that it will not be dangerous to school children and pedestrians to use these roads. well done, Mayor of Colombo and all his officials for a commendable job.
