EAP Technologies enters into agreement with Compaq Computer Asia

Compaq Computer Asia, on Thursday entered into a new business partnership with EAP Technologies in Sri Lanka.EAP, which is the newly appointed dealer, said it will focus on serving small and medium scale enterprises in the country.

EAP’s Director Technologies, Brian Walter, said that EAP’s dynamic island-wide dealer network backed by a strong range of products, is tailored to efficiently serve its partner Compaq.

EAP is planning to work closely with a network of second tier sellers to widen its services, he said.

Compaq Computer Corporation, is the largest supplier of computing systems in the world, company offcials said. The company designs, manufactures and markets software and hardware solutions. It deals with leading enterprise computer solutions and communications products such as commercial desktops, portable products and consumers PCs.

Mr.Chrishan Fernando, Compaq’s Country Sales Manager in Sri Lanka, said that Compaq, which entered the market a decade ago, has always been deeply involved in developing the local IT industry. He said that EAP is also preparing Authorised Monitor Repair Centre for Compaq monitors in Sri Lanka.

Compaq’s Marketing Services Manager for South Asia along with Mr. Wai Kin said, `` with their infrastructure capabilities, Compaq is proud to work with EAP to take customer services to the next level." Compaq’s strategy is to equip businesses with the information technology to achieve greater heights, he said.

``Our priorities are to focus on growth and customer experience and accelerate innovation."

Meanwhile, Compaq also said it has launched the official website for South Asia this month. Latest information about products, regional news and technical support is now available at http://www.compaq.com/srilanka.
