Recently the price of wheat flour was raised by Rs. 2 and as a result, a loaf of bread is Rs. 12. To encourage people to eat rice the price of the lowest quality country rice is Rs. 28 per kg.

During the former government, the price was Rs. 12 per kilo. Five hundred grams of Talapath fish is Rs. 150. During the former government, it was Rs 60, Rs70. A cylinder of gas was Rs. 120 and now it is Rs. 480.

It is simply impossible to live and minister Reggie Ranatunge should take immediate steps to reduce the price of consumer articles.
