| Rambling notes by Nihal Corea Hide and seek or to seek what is hidden All the world loves a lover and possibly if he is a VIP they will love him all the more. It is rarely that the public gets to know about the loves of a VIP. His value shoots up the moment, such incidents are made public. Now another weekend journal reported a rather interesting incident. A VIP had been on one of the upper floors of an important high rise building. According to the story that appeared in that paper, his wife had stormed into his office to find a "highly connected" female officer hiding behind a pillar. No doubt it would have been a rather unusual scene. Why was she hiding behind the pillar. Could they have been playing some game like hide and seek to while away their time. No doubt it was a childesh thing to do. It was some thing they would have done in their pre school days. Certainly, it was not an adult pursuit unless it was now hide and seek but to seek what is hidden. Now that is an "adults only" show and best done behind closed doors. The rumpus that followed was probably because that VIPs spouse got the impression that was the latter type of game that was being played. If it was just a game of hide and seek, she possibly have been more sympathetic and taken her husband to a psychiatrist instead creating such a scene. Now for this woman to have stormed into her husbands office, it could only have meant that she had advance information that some funny business was going on on that floor in that high rise building. Her fears would have been justified to find a highly connected female hiding behind a pillar. Now this is what led to the rumpus that followed and the fall of China in a figurative sense. The VIPs wife thought the situation a more than a bit fishy and biffed the female officer with all she had and for the coup de grace she hurled a tea cup which was the fall of China in reference and the noise had made quite din in that office. This brought the entire staff to that room to hear the VIPs wife yelling "you have ruined my life and my childs love". Now this female officer was no paltroon. She stood by his side firmly and refused to budge despite the efforts of the security and police staff to persuade her to leave. Possibly she had started something or other which she wanted to finish before she left and was not going to be deterred by those men. As for that VIP, there are two mitigating factors to lessen the gravity of it all wives who can storm into the husbands office. Further the heady atmosphere of the higher floors of a high rise building can make one behave in the most unexpected manner. |
