VVIP names figure in Thilan’s Supreme Court affidavit

Some VVIP names figure in former BOI Chief Thilan Wijesinghe’s 19-page affidavit filed in the Supreme Court in connection with a Fundamental Rights action he has filed over an on-going bribery investigation where he is the suspect.
In this affidavit, Wijesinghe has painted a disreputable picture of Ranjit Gamini Gunatillake Atukorale on whose complaint the bribery investigation against the former BOI boss was launched.

Princess Helen Rajya Laxmi Shah of Nepal was the chief guest at the ceremonial opening of the SAARC Women Entrepreneur Council organised by the Women’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Sri Lanka. She is the aunt of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev of Nepal. More than 75 women entrepreneurs from the SAARC region, other than Bhutan, participated at the event held on March 29 and 30 in Colombo. Dressed in a simple saree, the Princess was the epitome of simplicity and elegance and mingled freely with the crowd.
