| E-Mail, Internet facilities for all branches of SLIC Ambalantota: New technology including computer E Mail and Internet facilities will be provided to all the branches of Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation situated all over the island said Chairman Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation Lal de Mel addressing a meeting which followed the opening of the relocated Ambalantota branch of SLIC. The SLIC, Ambalantota branch which was functioning in a congested building was shifted to the new spacious building. Continuing the chairman said that SLIC was the only insurance company which offers life insurance polices to those who are above the age of fifty five years. This is a health insurance policy. In future there is no necessity for policy holders to arrive at SLIC branches to pay their premiums. They could make payments at any branch of the commercial Bank in the island. Special awards and bonuses will be awarded to those who are in jobs abroad after they open an NRC account with any branch of Bank of Ceylon. If that particular NRC holder finds the job difficult in that particular country he will be brought to Sri Lanka at the expense of SLIC. SLIC has stood in the insurance field for the past forty years. It was set up in 1961. Later the series of the SLIC was decentralised and a branch network is now operating islandwide. Assistant General Manager Gerren Vincent, Deputy AGM Upali Wijetunga, Regional Manager C. Mohotti, Branch Manager Selvan Manawadu were present on the occasion. |
