The 19th Individual Novices Badminton Championships, organised by the Mercantile Badminton Association (MBA), will be held at the St. Joseph’s College gymnasium from April 27-30.

The organisers of this tournament have received a record 368 entries from the members of the MBA.

The highest number of entries, comprising 89 have been received for the Men’s Doubles event which will be worked off in two rounds.

Some of the other popular events that will be worked off are; Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Singles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed doubles.

The championship is sponsored CIC Paints (Private) Limited.

The MBA has also made arrangements to have events for Veterans and Masters as well.
