Lotteries gives Rs 145m to Govt.

The National Lotteries Board (NLB) earned Rs. 145 million by the sale of ‘Vasana and Mahajana Sampatha’ lottery tickets during the first quarter of the year, a press release said. These earnings were handed-over to the Department of Public Accounts as state income last week.

Associated at a ceremony held in this connection were NLB Chairman Kesaralal Gunasekara and Deputy General Manager (Finance) Rohan Jayasinghe and the Director General of the Department of Public Accounts N. Warusavitharna.
