FPA Chief Executive to chair Advisory Panel Meeting in USA

The chief Executive of the Family Planning Association Sri Lanka Daya Abeywickrema will chair a meeting of the advisory panel on Alternative Business Models on Marketing of Family Planning Services at the San Mateo Marriott Hotel in San Francisco, California, USA.

Daya Abeywickrema, CEO of the FPA will chair the advisory panel that will review and evaluate the Alternative Business Models for Family Planning Service Delivery implemented under the Packard Foundation programme on May 31 and June 1, this year. The other nine members of the panel are senior consultants and experts from different parts of the world.The advisory panel will review projects conducted in Pakistan under the Green Star programme, Ethiopia under the Biruh Twssfa Clinical programme, Janani, New Delhi and Patna, Bihar state, India and Friendly Care Foundation clinic in Metro Manila, Phillippines.

The Packard Foundation Project on Alternative Business Model is a 4 year funded programme, which is being evaluated by the Carolina population Centre of the University of North Carolina, USA. Abeywickrema will be chairing the annual review meetings for the next 4 years until the final evaluation of the activities in the project listed above are completed.
