The Sri Lanka Freight Forwarders Association (SLFFA) is organising the second South Asian Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (SAFF-FA) meeting in Colombo tomorrow and on Saturday at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC), a press release said.

The representatives of the National Freight Forwarders Associa-tions of Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka formed SAFFFA in July 1996.

The objectives of the association are to establish a dialogue with the respective governments of the member countries of the region on measures to facilitate the movement of goods and capital within the region. The setting up of and promoting the common standards for trading practices with a view to evolving standards acceptable to all members and providing a forum for the settlement of disputes arising amongst members of the industry in the regional countries.
