The Department of Official Languages has organised the Language Day Awards Ceremony on June 19 at 2.00 p.m. at the New Town Hall, Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha, Colombo 7.

The awards ceremony is a sequel to an All Island competition held among authors and writers who have produced publications or contributed through media to the promotion of ethnic harmony and development of languages. Eighteen authors and writers who have made significant contributions will be felicitated at this awards ceremony.
