The Sri Lanka Institute of Traditional Studies in association with the Central Cultural Fund will present the Third Ananda Coomaraswamy Memorial lecture by an American scientist Wolfgang Smith, in the cinema hall of the BMICH on Tuesday June 19 at 5.30 pm.

Professor of Mathematics at Oregon State University for nearly thirty years, Dr. Smith graduated from Cornell with majors in physics, philosophy and mathematics, later taking an MS in physics at Purdue University.

It has now been announced that Dr. Smith is unable to come to Sri Lanka as planned to deliver his lecture in person. His important paper will therefore be presented on his behalf. The title of the lecture is "Science and Myth : The Hidden Connection".
