| SriLankan flights to India resumed SriLankan Airlines will re-introduce flights to Mumbai and Trichy with the re-entry of its Airbus A320 into its fleet on September 5, the airline announced. The airline will fly to Mumbai twice a week, on Tuesday and Sunday and operate to Trichy thrice a week, on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. With this move, the airline resumes operations to the five Indian destinations it previously served (i.e., New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Trivandrum and Trichy) taking its route network to 26 destinations in 20 countries, it said. The airline re-introduced its third A340 into its fleet on September 1. Once the A320 is in operation, SriLankans fleet will comprise three A340s, four A330s and one A320. |
