The golf competition for the E. T. Noel Gratiaen plaque was inaugurated in the Centinary Year of the Ladies section to honour the late Mr. Gratiaen who was the first Sri Lankan President of the club.

During the first few years Wendy Partridge (Mr. Gratiaen’s daughter) had donated the prizes together with the plaque with the names of the winners engraved on it. This year the prizes were donated by East West Marketing (Pvt.). Ltd and the winner and runner-up were Badra Jayaweera and Usha de Silva respectively.
