Corporate Location, the official magazine of Euromoney Investor PLC, UK, in its July/August issue, has ranked the BOI website twentieth among corporate investment promotion agency (IPA)websites, a press release said.

This site previously occupied the eighty seventh position. The magazine has listed the world’s top 50 IPA websites. An extract from the magazine, commenting on the BOI site says: ‘Effective use of drop down menu lists for each navigation bar option enables trouble-free fact finding.

Costs are upto date and comprehensive. They include registration, air cargo per item, permit and ID card costs. Useful information is backed-up with statistics and business links. Meanwhile, the top six websites listed in order are those of the Lithuanian Development Agency, Invest in Sweden, Invest UK, Pakistan Board of Investment, Thailand Board of Investrment and JETRO (Japan).

The release further said that Corporate Location is an internationally recognised business publication, specifically evaluating the business climate and has a worldwide circulation.

It is designed to help investors make more informed decisions when choosing potentital investment destinations.

Its statistics show that 75% of companies subscribing to the magazine intend to expand overseas within three years.The magazine also carries an article on Sri Lanka titled ‘Exporting serendipity,’ written a few days prior to the airport incident.
