Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) will hold its eighth Techno Business Forum in January and February 2002 to promote international exchanges in the information and technology industry.

The forum will provide both overseas and Japanese companies a chance to explore the potential for business partnerships such as technical tie-ups and business alliances.

The companies participating at this forum should have no partners in the Japanese market and should be able to provide excellent new technology, products and services that are unique to the Japanese market.

The number, participating, is limited to 40 overseas IT related companies and 10 Biotechnology companies. The participants will have the chance to take part in business meeting with Japanese companies where they may also explore overseas partnerships.

The forum will be held in three major cities Tokyo, Sendai and Gifu. The companies interested in participating should submit the provisional application, which can be obtained from JETRO Colombo office, before October 31.
