| Sri Lankan Americans protest Canadas lax policies on terrorists By
Walter Jayawardhana from Los Angeles The demonstration which is scheduled Friday October 5 at 2 p.m. in front of the Canadian Consul Generals office at 550 Hope Street in downtown Los Angeles, California 90071 will demand an end to the lax policies of the Liberal Party government of Canada which allows the nurturing of, according to the organizers, more than fifty terrorist organizations in Canada. The organizers of the rally said the terrorist presence in Canadian cities is posing a devastating threat as amply demonstrated by the recent terrorist attack on the twin towers of New Yorks World Trade Center and Washington DCs Pentagon. At least two of the hijackers who aimed commercial passenger jets to crash against the twin towers of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon ending the lives of nearly 10,000 were suspected by the investigators to have come across the USAs Northern border with Canada, where the Canadian government , by its lax policies, are allegedly providing shelter to some of the worlds most atrocious terrorist groups including the blood stained Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) and the group aligned with the much hated Osama bin Laden- Al Queda. Another man, Ahamed Ressam an Algerian living in the Canadian capital of Montreal came to Los Angeles on December 14 1999 with a car load of explosives to bring down the busy Los Angeles International Airport but was caught in the nick of time. Terrorists in Canada have become so efficient, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam is extorting more than 30 million dollars annually from recent Tamil immigrants to Canada , to bankroll an ongoing separatist war that has ended the lives of more than 60,000 lives in the tiny Indian Ocean island republic, the organizers said. |
