UMSC rally to save 4-year-old

The Up-country Motor Sports Club will conduct their Member’s Day Rally, on September 23, in aid of baby Deelaka Iddamalgoda, who is the four-year-old son of UMSC life member, Ravi Iddamalgoda. The child has been afflicted with leukaemia.

The rally will take off from the car park of Hotel Tourmaline and end at Digana Village.

The organising committee expects 50 cars and about 10 motor cycles. The entry fee will be Rs. 1500, which will include the competitors lunch. All other members and the navigators will be charged Rs. 350.00 for the lunch. This year, all competitors and navigators will be presented with a certificate. The winners will be presented with handsome trophies.

Maurice Perera, president, UMSC, said that all the committee members, Janaka Pathirane, Damika Suwarnasinghe, S. H. M. Ziyard, Edward Ekanayake and Mahesh Weerasinghe are rallying round him to make it a success.
