Lankan CC beat Nomads CC by 44 runs in a Division III cricket match, played at the R. Premadasa Stadium, last Sunday.

The winners made 218 all out in 49.4 overs, through some useful contributions from Cha-ndrasekera (39), Harsha (39), Chandraratne (35) and Warnakula (23).

For Nomads, Jayaratne bowled well to capture five wickets for 47.

Nomads were dismissed for 174 in 38.4 overs, with Karunaratne, the chief destroyer, capturing five for 29 runs.

The lone Nomads batsman who stood upto the Lankans was C. Gunesekera, who made 83. (Russ)
