Kandy: The former Kandy district MP and Chairman, Kandy District United National Party (UNP) organisation Al-haj A. R. M. Abdul Cader will come on the national list helping the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress leader Rauff Hakeem to contest the Kandy district under the elephant symbol of the United National Party (UNP).

The Kandy headquarters of the United National Party (UNP) sources making this revelation added that the former MP and former Central PC Minister M. H. A. Haleem will also contest the Kandy district as a UNPer.

Meanwhile, the possible UNP candidates former MP Tissa Attanayake, Central PC Member and Kandy chief organiser Kesara Senanayake and the Kandy Municipal Council member Chanaka Ilapperuma have already begun their election campaign by putting up posters in Kandy town and its suburbs.
