Kotmale Hill climb postponed

by Hafiz Marikar in Kandy
The up-Country Motor Sports Club, headed by Maurice Perera, which had made all arrangements to have the Kotmale Speed Hill Climb on the November 4, has decided to indefinitely postpone the event due to the current political situation.

The committee members, who were associated with Maurice Perera, Dhammika Suwarnasinghe, Tikiri Bandara, Mahes Weerasinghe, Edward Ekanayake, E.M. Dissanayake, Janaka Pathirane and Z.M. Ziyard all agreed to the request made by the President.

They have now decided to have the meet in February, with the blessing of SLAMS, as December and January are wet days in Kotmale and it is not possible to hold this event.

Thus, the committee has decided to have the Members Day Rally soon for which a nominal entry fee will be charged and all participants will be hosted by the Committee soon after the Rally.
