Why not powdered milk in sachets

The price of packeted powdered milk has again been increased, but there is no room for complaint, the govt. seems to say, as an interim allowance has been granted to public sector employees and pension payments upped.

The middle class and the poorer sections of the society will be the most affected by the price hike in powdered milk, and as a rule, people, specially in rural areas and the poor in the major towns too, now generally buy their daily needs, unlike earlier in quantities of kilo or half-a-kilo but in arikkalak whether it is sugar or tea.

Nowadays most of the multi-national companies and other small concerns too, sensing the low buying rate of the population, have come out with their popular brands in sachets, containing a fraction of their products that are packed in larger quantities tins and bottles.

We have shampoos, toothpaste and several other products now in convenient sachets. Likewise, why don’t companies start packing their powdered milk in sachets, that will help the poor to buy a sachet at a time- to serve or drink tea.
