Mr. Kumara Ratnayake, the much reputed artist will be holding another one-man exhibition of his paintings at the ground floor of the JAIC Hilton Tower, 200, Union Place, Colombo 2 from the 5th to the 11th November, 2001.

Mr. Ratnayake whose main forte is oil on canvas, has a wide range of subject matter and styles. His imaginary themes, portrayed with a vivid and rich blend of colour has won him acclaim not only in Sri Lanka, but internationally, as well. Many of his paintings have found markets in Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, France, Holland, Australia, United Kingdom, Singapore and the United States. Early next year he has been invited to hold two exhibitions in Singapore and Dusseldorf, Germany.

Mr. Ratnayake, a Presidential Award winner, has also won awards at the open exhibitions organized by the George Keyt Foundation. He was also an award winner at the exhibition organized to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Sri Lanka’s independence. Mr. Ratnayake has his own Art Gallery at Kalalpitiya, Pasyala.
