by Hafiz Marikar in Kandy Gihan Madushka Liyanage of Dharmaraja College, Kandy, won the Under 13 all island open (singles) table tennis championship title. In the Under 15 he was placed third and 8th in the Under 17. He is one of the finest TT players in the hills within his age group. He took to the sport at Vidyartha College, where he was under the watchful eyes of Buddhika Dikkumbura. Later, he crossed over to Dharmaraja, where he has done well in the sport. His aim is to play for the Combined Schools and the national team. |
He has toured the Maldives and India with the central province table tennis teams. His parents are providing him the fullest support.
