Kandy Garden Club beat Mahanuwara YMBA by 5 matches to 4 in an inter club billards and snooker match played at the Kandy Garden Club tables.

In the opening game, Garden Club’s veteran Faise Samad edged out Sarath Gunatilake by two frames to nil.

In the second snooker game, Mervyn Jayasundara (Garden Club) thrashed A. Dayarathne by 200 points to 120 where Mervyn excelled in his potting. M. Kathuanthiri beat Jhan Mohamed by two frames to nil, Jude Fernando (Garden Club) beat W. Shantha by two frames to nil, while Ranjith Jayaweera (Garden Club) beat Ranjith Jayatilake by 100 points to 83.

In the first game of billiards, Basil Dassanayake (Garden Club) beat S. Karunarathne by 99 points to 52. In the second billiards game G. B. Yatigammana lost to Wilbert Gamage.

In the third billiards game M. Herath beat Ranjith Jayatilake by 100 points to 83. Cyril de Zoysa (YMBA) beat M. Karunakaran by 114 points to 83.
