It is going to be an all Kandyan affair, in the final of the Plate Championship, of the Western Province Rugby Football Union Under-21 tournament, when Kandy Sports Club meet Kandy Youth Sports Club.

The match will be played at Longden Place, Colombo.

Kandy Youth SC who are new to the game, are hard at practices, and their main aim is to beat Kandy SC, at least in the under 21 championship. Maurice Perera, the man who introduced rugby to this club, and their hard working president, Janaka Pathirane, are doing their best to make the side a champion outfit. According to them, if they win this tournament, they hope to make a tour to Malaysia.

Kandy SC thrashed the Sri Lanka Development Squad in the last outing. The Cup Championship final, between Havelocks SC and CR&FC, will be played after the Plate final.
