| Demand for 91 day bills The weekly treasury bill auction held on Tuesday was oversubscribed with bids amounting to a total of Rs 9,447 million being received, says a press release. The total amount on offer at this auction was Rs 3,094 million, which was also the final amount accepted. The weighted average yield rates (WAYR) for 91 day bills declined by 0.13% over last weeks auction figure to register an annual WAYR of 13.6% at yesterdays auction. Meanwhile, the WAYR for 182 day bills declined by 0.02% to register 13.77% and for 364 day bills by 0.03% to register an annual WAYR of 14.18%. The value of the quantity of 91 day bills on offer at this auction was Rs 1,590 million, while the amount of bids received was Rs 5,718 million and the amount finally accepted, Rs 1,920 billion. Meanwhile, the value of the quantity of 182 day bills on offer was Rs 130 million, while the value of the bids received totalled Rs 305 million and the amount finally accepted, Rs 185 million. Meanwhile, the value of 364 day bills on offer was Rs 1,374 million, while the value of bids received totalled Rs 3,424 million and the amount finally accepted, Rs 989 million. |
