The Commercial Bank of Ceylon recently opened customer service points in two of Colombo’s suburbs, Malabe and Mt. Lavinia expanding its branch network to 93 branches, says a news release.

The new service points are linked up with the bank branches service points and Mini Com outlets. The service points offer 24 hour banking facilities through CAT automated teller machines and the Com Tel. tele-banking service.

Speaking at the opening of the two branches, the bank’s managing director Amitha Gooneratne said that Commercial Bank has been recognised locally and internationally as one of the most stable banks in the country for its consistent performance.

The Malabe branch manager is Susil De Mel and the Mt. Lavinia manager is Eshan Wijesinghe. Chairman/managing director of the Mount Lavinia Hotel Sanath Ukwatte made the first deposit at the Mt. Lavinia branch to Goonaratne with the banks regional manager outer Colombo Vimal Fernando being also present at this occasion.
