Global Business Solutions (GBS), announced it is a member in the Microsoft certified partner (MCP) programme, says a press release.

GBS, a BOI company with an established partnership with Business Technology Alliance LLC, USA (BTA) has a global clientele in corporate software services. GBS began operations last year.

GBS, which provides Enterprise IT Solutions specializing in solutions for the financial investment industry and retail industry, was named as an MCP due to its competence on the latest Microsoft technologies. Being a member, gives GBS the opportunity to provide a number of benefits to its customers.

As the local MCP, the company is trained, backed and supported 100% by Microsoft on all their products.

"When customers are looking to implement a Microsoft technology solution for their business, their best bet is to turn to an expert — an MCP", said Rosa Garcia, general manager of the Partner Programmes Group at Microsoft. "Microsoft recognizes GBS and welcomes it as an MCP".

Membership in the MCP programme will provide GBS with resources to help it develop and deploy Microsoft solutions that will speed customers’ time to market and reduce costs.

GBS, booked by BTA, is the latter’s development centre. Sri Lanka has been providing IT solutions in the finance investment sector and retail sector, specializing in B2B and B2C and enterprise solutions. In addition to the web enabling technologies, GBS has expertise in wireless solutions delivery as well as wireless solutions.

GBS clientele in the finance investment industry via the BTA representation includes US Fortune 500 companies such as Bank of America Securities, Frontier Capital, Brinker Capital, Affiliated Management Group and SEI w. GBS is developing a global presence with marketing arms based in Austin, Texas (focused on wireless technology solutions), UAE and Australia.
