| JVP claims - nothing but bunkum JVP is trying to justify the support they extended to the PA government by propping it up. The JVP claims: (a) They did so without portfolios (b) They did not want to transfer power to the UNP because they (UNP) had not been voted to power. Both these arguments are absurd and show that the JVP is far away from the peoples thinking and aspirations. People wanted to chase the PA out, primarily because of its inefficiency, corruption and also because they could not bear the speeches made by its leader and her henchmen. People were waiting to teach this bunch a lesson for they were trying to hoodwink the people. No body can blame the UNP for asking for portfolios - what can you do without a portfolio? JVPs claim of not having asked for portfolios is also bunkum. They should have grabbed them and show the others how to be a Minister and work without enjoying the perks and without talking nonsense. Did the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna show that they were incapable of doing an honest and efficient job as Ministers? Did they try to teach a lesson to the UNP on how to run a future government? However Tilvin, you betrayed the country and please do not continue to talk the way PA goons talk, because except the speeches you gave just before and after the signing of the MOU, your group have been talking sense. Hope you will not get corrupt and ruined because of you newfound friends. Deshapriya Rajapaksha |
