Hafiz Marikar in Kandy
Dynamic Havelock SC winger, Sanjeewa Jayasinghe, who has decided to play for Kandy SC next season, has been tipped to lead Sri Lanka to Thailand for next month’s ‘Thai Sevens’.

According to the selection committee chairman, Tikiri Marambe, the squad will be reduce to 12 today. The squad is at present under the watchful eye of Asanga Seneviratne.

He said that the Kandyan players like Sajith Mallikarachchi, Nalaka Weerakody and Radhika Hettiarachchi had given a good account of themselves at the ‘Dubai Sevens’ and he was expecting a lot from them at the ‘Thai Sevens’.

The Sri Lanka team is due to leave for Thailand on December 3.
