The ninety sixth branch of Commercial Bank was recently inaugurated at Nawalapitiya says a press release. The new branch is connected to 95 other branches through ComNet, and through CAT automated teller machines.

Speaking at the occasion, bank chairman Mahendra Amarasuriya said that Commercial Bank’s new branch in Nawalapitiya is a result of research which revealed the need for more banking facilities in this area despite the presence of several other banks.

"We offer an array of products and services such as the progressive saver account, ‘Nivahana’ housing loan scheme, ‘Diribala’ development loan scheme and ‘Arunalu’ and ‘Isuru’ savings schemes for minors and CAT, COMNET and holiday banking facilities," he said.

Branch Manager S. Ganeshan also spoke. Senior regional manager (Central Region) Nimal Lukshman was also present at this occasion.
