KANDY: Four members of the Central Provincial Council are wanted by police in connection with incidents of violence during the election period in the Kandy district, police said.

Some are wanted following complaints of incidents of taking life, causing hurt, causing damage to properties, police said on Monday.

These complaints were from the electorates of Kundasale, Hewaheta, Galagedara and Teldeniya, police said.

Police said yesterday that their attempts to arrest them failed due to their absence from residences.

These members against whom complaints were received according to police had not attended the meeting of the Central Provincial Council, yesterday.
