A suspicious looking parcel received at the Batticaloa post office yesterday was brought to the notice of Batticaloa police.

Batticaloa police after arriving at the post office took the parcel and left it outside the post office.

After a some time the parcel exploded.

On investigation it had been revealed a time bomb hidden inside a suicide bomber kit had been wrapped inside the parcel, police sources said.
