Astrological predictions — what a farce?

The editor of "Ira Handa" astrological newspaper has given a bizarre reason which is both humorous and silly for the incorrect prediction of the election results.

He has adduced the "Kussiye Peraliya", (the Kitchen revolution) as the factor which upset the astrological prediction. What a farce? Whom is he trying to fool? It is an insult to the intelligence of all professional astrologers and those who follow astrology, a large percentage of Sri Lankans at that. If as he explains, the ‘Polkatu Henda’ and the ‘Hiramane’, the ‘Wangediya’ and the ‘Molgaha’ are more powerful astrologically, than the ‘Nawakgrahayas’, the ‘Lagnas’ and the ‘Mahadasawas.’

If that be the case, it would certainly be more profitable to take to Political Analysis than dabble in Astrology. In reality, the ‘Apale’ is not in the face as another astrologer said, but in the birth chart.

Since the planetary positions cannot be changed by will or force or with a vote; the other alternative is to change those afflicted with the ‘Apale’ who are in the fray; and this is probably what took place. So much for ‘Ira Handa’ astrological forecasts. Thank the stars for the change.
