Buddhist Members of Parliament unite!

As religion cuts across all political parties and interests in Parliament, the Buddhist religion would be helped by the formation of an inter-parliamentary group.

All Ministers of Parliament, who claim to follow Buddhism, would be members automatically, irrespective of party affiliations.

It is suggested that meetings would be convened at regular intervals within the parliamentary complex to discuss matters of Buddhist concern. This would also create opportunities for GUEST speakers to address them. More and more "God-based" religions are getting established in Sri Lanka now.

Sri Lankan Buddhists need protection from those powerful institutions marketing blind belief. Such a Parliamentary group is sorely needed.
