| APMF meeting Nalin Attygalle, president of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) left for Chiang Rai, Thailand, to represent the Sri Lankan marketing fraternity at the board of management meeting of the Asia Pacific Marketing Federation (APMF), says a press release. SLIM is the South Asia Secretariat of the APMF and has been one of the key members of the APMF which is a founder member of the World Marketing Association. This year, the presidency of the APMF is with the Marketing Association of Thailand (MAT). APMF conducts the Certified Professional Marketer (Asia Pacific) qualification in the Asia Pacific region and SLIM as the national body promotes this qualification among Sri Lankans. The members of the Federation include India, Australia, Canada, South Africa, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and Indonesia. Sri Lanka already has nearly 100 certified certified professional marketers who already have plans to organize themselves into a professional organization. |
