| ADEP proposes development project for children of Rana Viru
villages The Association of Disabled Ex-service Personnel (ADEP) which is looking after the rights and privileges of the family members of disabled, deceased and disappeared service personnel in the 3 armed forces and the police have proposed the establishment of a development project for the children in Rana Viru Villages. Out of the 17 Rana Viru Villages 4 villages have been ear marked for "Care and Development of Children" as the first phase this year. The project which is funded by "Save the Children" organization intends to focus their attention on the 4 villages in Kurunegala, Hambanthota, Kalutara and Avissawella in the first year and the program will continue to extend to the other villages in the next five years. The approved proposal will be ceremonially handed over to ADEP by Save the Children Norway on Thursday. |
