K. K. Kusala Gayani an Year 6 student of Mahagamasekera Vidyalaya, Radawana, Gampaha and also of Gampaha Gymnastic Association proved her mettle in gymnastics by emerging champion in the Under 12 class at the Gampaha District’s sports festival held recently.

She had earlier won several events in Gampaha District’s open tourney held late last year.

Gayani who also won the Western Province Inter District trophy aims at higher rungs in the future.

She is coached by the secretary of the Gampaha District Gymnastic Assn. Lasantha Chaminda Kumara.
