Sri Lanka to have strong presence at South Indian tourism show

Sri Lanka is expected to have a strong presence at the second International Tourism Conference and Exhibition on South India to be held from February 3 to 10 at Hyderabad described as the biggest ever tourism/business event organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in association with SAARC Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI).

The Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka (FCCISL) will coordinate participation by government and private sector organisations at this event.

FCCISL said that SriLankan Airways, Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre and the Tourist Board have already confirmed participation.

"This conference and exhibition, first of its kind in the region will help Sri Lanka to display its potential in areas of exports, trade, investment, tourism, services as well as cultural exchanges to the entire region," FCCISL said.

Sri Lanka is expected to promote a wide range of products and services for the region as well as investment opportunities related to the tourism industry, it said.
