For a considerable period of time we have seen and heard of various unpleasant incidents in sports clubs and associations and also in their administration units - especially in the sports field activities.

We have seen how some sports men and women in the field of athletics had misbehaved while playing on and off the grounds in our own country and at international tournaments in foreign countries. There is no - discipline among the players and also in some cases among their coaches and managers. Squabbles among players and differences among team members and their managers may be due to personal jealousies and misunderstandings.

This is a very sad state of affairs. If the administrative heads of sports bodies and clubs cannot put an end to this sad state of affairs, the Sports Minister should step in personally and take immediate remedial action to preserve the good name and efficient performance in our sports and athletic sectors.
