LTTE takes away goods by force

The owner of a fishing boat, Adambawa Husain has complained to Valachchenai Police Station that one 12V battery, 100 diesel litres, two kerosene oil lamps, two knives, six torch batteries and 75 kg of fish were forcibly taken away by armed LTTE cadres on Friday around 2.30 a.m. , the government said.

These items had been taken away while they were fishing in the seas off Kalkudah, about 25 km Northwest of Batticaloa.

Valachchenai Police are making inquiries.
