Pongu Thamil blasts US

Some people took part in Pongu Thamil or Thamil re-awakening rally at Trincomalee on Tuesday with placards and slogans blasting the US stance on terrorism and condemning the Bush administration for its continued support to successive Sri Lankan governments, sources in Trincomalee said.
"The US came under heavy fire," the sources said while adding that the participants shouted anti-American slogans.
