Poor burdened, business friendly - Mahinda Rajapaksa

Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa termed the maiden budget of the UNP government as a burden on the poorest sections of the society and friendly on the businessmen.

Rajapaksa when contacted by "The Island" said that a close study should be done on the budget before commenting on it. However he observed that it will have bad effects towards the poor sections of the society in the future. He said that the budget had granted a lot of benefits for the businessmen while common man had been forgotten.
