Union Assurance Ltd (UAL) opened the company’s 42nd branch in Trincomalee on March 25, in recognition of the business potential of this prominent eastern town. UAL is confident that the opening of its 42nd branch consolidates its position in the region and serves to build business confidence in the present positive economic climate. The development centre was ceremonially declared open by UAL CEO Sarath Wickramanayake as chief guest and UAL’s GM Marketing Ramal Jasinghe, who was guest of honour at the ceremony.

Life and general sales operation of the Trincomalee development centre will be carried out by R. S. Ratnayake, sales executive (general) and B. A. W. Arachchi, sales executive (life) from UAL’s Hingurakgoda development centre and will be overseen by the manager, Anuradhapura region until such time as the planned activities of the development centre are implemented. Thereafter, the responsibility for the Trincomalee operations will be entrusted to a sales executive life and sales executive general recruited from the area, who will be assigned solely to manage this development centre, with a view to ensuring optimum efficiency and productivity.
